Experiential Depth Psychotherapy

Amanda Morrison

How do I know if therapy with you is a good fit?
My work is depth-oriented, relational, and grounded in the nervous system. People often seek me out when they want therapy that integrates emotional experience, the body, relationships, and the wider world we live within. I work slowly and collaboratively, with attention to patterns that repeat over time rather than quick fixes. I offer an initial consultation to help us both sense whether working together feels aligned.

What are your therapy fees?
My rates are consistent with those of other local psychotherapists with my training and experience, and are discussed upon initial inquiry.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy & integration: Fees vary depending on session length, preparation, and coordination with medical providers
Because I intentionally limit my caseload to support depth and continuity, availability may be limited.

Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients receive partial reimbursement depending on their plan. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm coverage.

Do you offer sliding scale therapy?
I hold a limited number of reduced-fee spaces, depending on availability. You’re welcome to inquire during an initial consultation.

How often do you meet with clients?
Most clients meet once weekly, particularly at the beginning of therapy. Some people meet more frequently during intensive periods, while others shift to biweekly sessions over time. We’ll determine a rhythm that supports depth while remaining sustainable.

How long does therapy usually last?
My work is typically longer-term and process-oriented, though this varies by person and circumstance. Some clients work with me for a specific phase of life, while others engage in ongoing therapy as support for relational growth, integration, and resilience.

What is ecotherapy?
Ecotherapy is a therapeutic approach that recognizes the deep connection between human well-being and the natural world. It understands psychological health as inseparable from our relationship to place, ecology, and the more-than-human world.

In my work, ecotherapy may include:
  • Exploring your relationship to nature as part of your emotional and relational life
  • Working with climate anxiety, ecological grief, or environmental overwhelm
  • Integrating nature-based reflection, symbolism, or outdoor sessions when appropriate
  • This approach supports both individual well-being and planetary well-being, recognizing that these are deeply interconnected.

Are ecotherapy sessions always outdoors?
No. While some sessions may take place outdoors, much ecotherapy work happens indoors. The focus is less on location and more on how we understand the self in relationship to the natural world.

What is ketamine-assisted psychotherapy?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) combines ketamine—a legal, FDA-approved medication—with psychotherapy to support emotional flexibility, insight, and healing. Ketamine can help loosen entrenched patterns and create openings for new perspectives when integrated with skilled therapeutic support.

My role centers on preparation and integration, helping clients make meaning of their experiences and translate insights into lasting change.

Is ketamine considered psychedelic therapy?
Ketamine is sometimes described as a psychedelic or dissociative medicine, though it differs from classic psychedelics such as psilocybin. When used intentionally and within a therapeutic framework, it can support deep psychological and relational work.

What is the medical component of ketamine treatment?
Ketamine is prescribed and overseen by a licensed medical provider. Medical providers are responsible for screening, prescribing, dosage, and physical safety. I collaborate closely with medical professionals while maintaining clear boundaries between medical care and psychotherapy.

Do you prescribe or administer ketamine?
No. I do not prescribe or administer ketamine. I provide psychotherapy, preparation, and integration sessions and coordinate care with medical providers who handle the medical aspects of treatment. I support the patient in administering their own prescribed ketamine lozenges during a dosing session.

Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy.

What is your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged at the full session fee.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Therapy is confidential and protected by state and federal privacy laws. Legal limits to confidentiality will be reviewed during the intake process.
